Automating Tracking and Reporting Capabilities for Specific Flight Routes

WHAT OUR CLIENT NEEDED.

A global aircraft lessor sought to enhance its tracking and reporting capabilities for specific flight routes using the Flightradar24 historical flight data feed. It needed a daily flight alert system and a comprehensive Historical Flight Data Power BI report.

HOW WE WORKED TOGETHER.

1. The lessor provided the fleet aircraft registration details to Flightradar24.
2. Flightradar24 implemented a daily publishing system for historical flight data in a comma-delimited format, accessible via a password-protected website.
3. Zeevo designed and developed a Windows service to:
   – Download the historical flight data on a configurable schedule;
   – Store the data in a local SQL server database and integrate it with the lessor’s Leasepoint data; and
   – Generate and distribute flight alert emails.
4. Zeevo designed and developed a new Historical Utilization, Power BI report offering enhanced fleet historical utilization and configured flight alert search capabilities.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED.

• The lessor can set up new flight alerts using parameters like serial number, flight origin, destination, ICAO, and time on the ground.
• A Windows service downloads and analyzes historical flight data, generating HTML-based flight alert emails.
• Different flight alerts can be configured for various distribution lists based on specific requirements, including origin and destination country, airport, serial number, operator, and time on the ground.
• Prohibited flights are highlighted distinctly in the flight alert emails and the Historical Flight Data Power BI report.
• A new Historical Flight Data Power BI report was created for multiple departments, offering enhanced search capabilities for historical flight data, current flight alerts, and alert counts.
