MIAMI — April 20, 2021 — Zeevo Group LLC (“Zeevo”), a business, finance, and information technology consulting services firm, announced on the sidelines of the ISTAT Miami Conclave that the ISTAT Foundation named the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Joey Johnsen, a trustee of its Board of Directors.
In a LinkedIn announcement, the Foundation welcomed two new volunteer trustees, Zeevo’s Joey Johnsen and SMBC Aviation Capital’s Richard Wall, citing their accomplished track record in the many facets of aviation finance and aircraft leasing, as well as wide-ranging contributions to nonprofit causes.
Expressing her appreciation for the opportunity to serve on the Board, Zeevo Group CEO Joey Johnsen accentuated that she intends to “bring a fair and globally minded perspective to enhancing the operations of the Foundation and advancing the far-reaching initiatives that have earned the organization an industry-wide reputation as a leader in shaping the next generation of aviation leaders.”
As a founding principal of Seattle-based Zeevo and a long-time employer participant of the ISTAT Internship Program, Johnsen has been serving on the ISTAT Foundation Internship Committee for more than two years now, spearheading efforts among corporate members to create internship opportunities, both domestically and internationally.
“As we work together to navigate the industry’s future, all stakeholders must coalesce around the vital goal of attracting, retaining, and growing a diverse and highly skilled pool of talent who will be crucial to the industry’s long-term growth,” stressed Johnsen.
Johnsen asserted that the mission and goals of the Foundation “perfectly align with my passion for empowering rising young professionals with tools and resources for success just as I have been fortunate to have in my own professional journey.”
Widely respected as a reputable industry voice, Johnsen is a stalwart champion of educating the young through mentorship. She has dedicated her career to enhancing enterprise and shareholder value through finance leadership, transformation, and compliance. Her aviation background dates back to the Finance Strategic Initiatives function at International Lease Finance Corporation (“ILFC”), where she drove key transformation activities, oversaw Finance project teams, analyzed global programs, and provided analysis and decision support for strategic transactions. Johnsen worked with the CFO and management to prepare ILFC for an IPO and later AerCap’s 2014 acquisition, leading divestiture and then integration efforts for AerCap’s Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams. During her career, Johnsen has also held senior leadership positions at several high-profile, global and large public companies, including Deloitte and Touche, Western Wireless (T-Mobile), and Resources Global Professional (RGP).
Johnsen is an avid nonprofit supporter and currently serves as chair and founding board member of the University of Washington Bothell Women’s Alumni Council and a member of the Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable Board of Directors.
“I look forward to availing the Foundation of my expertise, perspectives, and professional network to support its widespread activities and benefit the broader aviation community,” concluded Johnsen.
